Race and Sexuality in 2019

vinoandvulvas.conversations.ashevillenc.jpg

Not much is harder to talk about right now than race and privilege. At Vino & Vulvas we tackle all sorts of taboo stuff, but the race conversation has been extra challenging to figure out. Now’s the time. We’re going to talk about the intersection of race and sexuality.

We’ll dive into privilege, systems built on white supremacy, the challenges and joys of interracial dating and sexual relationships, white fragility and guilt, and how race layers in with power-play dynamics and sex. It’s going to be a big, real conversation about things that don’t get said out loud nearly as often as they should. Please come out and be a part of it.

Panelists: Elizabeth McCorvey MSW, LCSW; Catie Beaulieu, MA, MBA, LPC, CPT; Todd Malloy, LMFT, CST, CSE, AASECT certified Sexuality Counselor and Educator
