Therapeutic Kink

TIedUp.VinoandVulvas.jpg

There are so many ways that folx get to BDSM and kink. Some of them are for healing and therapeutic reasons. We will have an amazing panel to discuss all the ways that kink and BDSM (Bondage/Discipline, Domination/Submission, Sadism/Masochism) can help us figure out some serious stuff. From learning how to take back power after experiencing situations of powerlessness to creating safe boundaries for erotic edges, there is some important stuff we can learn by pushing out boundaries erotically and sexually. Can it be dangerous? Yes. Would it be nice to have some guidance on this sort of work? Absolutely. Is there potential for abuse? Yes, that too. We’re going to break it all down to help guide you to learn how to navigate therapeutic kink while also understanding what is and isn’t “okay”. If you offer counsel (medically or psychologically) to people, this is going to be a ridiculously useful panel to help you understand behavior and not automatically pathologize. We’ll even talk about ways that the BDSM structure can be FANTASTIC for modeling good sexual communication and boundaries. You might even start teaching BDSM principles to your patients and clients after this. :) And for EVERYONE, it will be great to help you understand a little more about your own inner eroticism… perhaps.
